Aunt Jen finally got to meet Caleb on Thursday! Click here for some cute pics of Caleb in the scrubs that she bought for him. She also made the blanket in the pictures. She may think that “Valentine’s Day stinks,” but I think she found her Valentine!

Becky and I recently planned a Valentine Banquet for our church. The theme was 1945 Radio Dinner Theater. Click here for pics. Caleb was pretty cute, too!

Now that Caleb’s umbilicus has fallen off, we were able to move from sponge baths to a real bath. He hated sponge baths — cried through the whole thing. But he loves real baths… at least if mom or dad holds his hand! Click here for these pics and others.

Here are some pictures from the last week.

We laid Caleb in the sun quite a bit to help him with his jaundice.

Caleb now has pretty good neck strength. He looks all around and can hold his head pretty steadily.

Believe it or not, he has also rolled over from his stomach to his back twice now. He can also support his weight on his legs every now and then.

Caleb’s jaundice is gone.

He has regained his birth weight. The pediatrician said that he should get back to his birth weight by 10 days, so he is right on schedule.

He has averaged 5-6 hours of sleep at night for the past 4 nights (midnight - 5 or 6). Hopefully that trend will continue.

He is very good. He never fusses unless he needs something. Hopefully that trend will continue as well. Or even better, maybe he will just tell us when he’s hungry…

Hopefully these trends are an indication of Caleb’s personality that will characterize his life.

Becky is gradually regaining her strength.

Becky and I had our first post-Caleb date this evening. Becky’s mom kindly watched Caleb while we went to dinner.
